Selling things to get by financially

I'm wondering if any of you who have recently begun to sell things at flea markets are doing so because you need another source of income to pay your bills and cover living expenses. I'm doing a story on just that for Fifty Plus Advocate newspapers and am looking to speak with people who are doing that who would be willing to share their experiences and advice with others. I started doing it because I retired and I was bored and had about 25 years' worth of stuff stored in our barn. I found a flea market that I liked and rented a couple of booths. That was the first of May. Now, at the beginning of July, I, along with some partners, are opening a bigger and better one a block away from the previous one. The extra income doesn't hurt either.
