Now I'm REALLY Pissed!!!

Geeze......... Like I don't have enough going on here with trying to downsize & prepare for a move!!!

Chicken man (let me tell you he got this nickname for more than one reason. LOL!!!) yells over to me, trying to get my attention through an open window today..... Did you see your tree??? Now, this man can't even come to my door as a NORMAL & Respected neighbor might do. Anyway, Yells over & tells me I HAVE to do something about this tree & I have absolutely NO clue as to what he is talking about, so I just be as rude as he is & tell him........... This is NO longer my problem........... Ex owns the house now & I'm in the middle of moving. What a JERK!!!! Does he bother to tell me that a seriously HUGE Maple tree that may, or may not even be on this property was hit by lightning & split in 2 last night??? Does he bother to tell me, that if this tree decides to finish splitting that it will take THIS house down & possibly a neighbors???? HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Instead, the jerk proceeds to call the PD on me instead.

It's all solved with the Ex & was even before the PD got here. Now.......... what you have to understand is that this is the very neighbor that had a tree at least 3 times the size of the one that was struck by lightning last night on HIS property that was DEAD for 18 YEARS & caused me to have 3 insurance claims!!! BUT........... in his opinion, it was in NO DANGER of falling down!!! After the third claim, his insurance company threatened him to take it down, or risk having his insurance canceled within 30 days.

He's an idiot!!! Even my Ex used to say that he could do more by accident than this man does on purpose!!! My Ex was no fireball, but this was the truth!!! Nobody is above the law, but him!!! We had early on issues with him dumping used oil that rolled down the hill to our property. Keeps Chickens where we are not zoned for them!!! Even BEAT my Skyleah over the head with a shovel in MY OWN YARD............ when one of his chickens got over in OUR yard & she tried to chase it!!!

AND.................... I have had SO............... Many people ask WHY I just didn't buy out my Ex's half of this house??? Wow................. Hysterically LMAO!!!! This is NOT the neighborhood is was 20 years ago!!! I wasn't gonna do this, but gave the EX a heads up today. I already was awarded my 50% plus. Don't bother putting any money in it............... Just sell it for what you can get & RUN like HELL!!!

Don't get me wrong............ The house is really beautiful, but it's now in the wrong neighborhood. You can "Thank" all of our jobs that were once local now being in China for this mess!!!

On a SAD note................. My loan for a new house will fly, but my bank wants me to take the time to establish a credit score on my own first. HELLO........... what part of this is not a time option, don't they understand??? Asked them what my options were today & they told me I had none??? I have assets.......... DAMMIT,.......... & NO DEBT!!!...... SO, I'm not even gonna listen to that BS!!! It's back to the drawing board for me & I have another appointment for a Mortgage application tomorrow. Wish me luck!!!

Ask the lender if they are treating you this way because you are a woman? Worked for me one time - I couldn't get instant approval while a friend of mine (male) with less income and 3 dependants (wife and 2 kids) got okayed right away. The bank stammered and hesitated and worried that I may sue for discrimination and okayed my refinance. Refinance --- I had already proved myself to these "gentlemen" with my first loan. You just have to stand tough with these people.

jwoods..... Thank YOU!!!! Not my first loan ever, just a loan I'm asking for now without ever being in debt for many, many years!!! Damn.............. this country needs more like me & I'm not saying this to toot my own horn, but I simply don't believe in debt!!! Never have & NEVER will. Can't pay for it.............. then you simply don't need it!!! Of course, a purchase such as a house is an exception. Gotta be somebody out there is this day & time that will respect someone who is not in debt!!! So many programs out there to help people in debt & even after foreclosure, obtain a Mortgage. Not much to help a person with assets that is NOT in debt. I'm just so............... Frustrated!!!!

Just find a cheap small rental until you can get yourself sorted out. At least you've got no debt!!! I think having no debts after struggling to service the ones we had feels wonderful. Rentals around here are a cheaper way to live than ownership. With county (council) rates, insurance, maintenance, garden tools (mowers, etc) always spending money to improve or fix something one comes out behind the 8 ball every year by thousands. Seems people have it in their heads though that home ownership is the dream of everyone. In England very few people own their own home. Unless one is extremely wealthy no one owns property in Manhatten.

Sounds like you had the neighbor from hell. We had some neighbors when living in Cheyenne that had a german shepherd that barked all night in the middle of winter as it was chained up in the snow underneath our bedroom window. They 'lost' their toddler a couple of times as this little naked waif wandered off down the street barefooted and diaperless while they sat around beside the heater smoking weed. "Uh...where's Bob?" ........"Uh. I thought you knew where." ........ "Uh. No." ...................... "I don't know where is." ............... "Uh. Think we should find him?".............."Nah. Someone will bring him back."

What ratbags they were. We bought a duplex in Cheyenne, lived in the small side and rented the other. It paid for itself while we owned it. However we leased the other side to a drummer in a C&W band. Not a pleasant experience trying to sleep at 2:00 AM while they were still practicing not 10 ' away with only a gyprock wall separating us. I did ask them to turn it down and they did but I suffered a couple of sleepless nights before I talked to him about it. And weird tenants!!! I can only think of snakes and nymphomaniacs. And when they leave!!! Leaving the garage piled up to the ceiling in plastic bags for me to dispose of. That's always fun.

Hello Sky, it sounds like you're leaving in the nick of time. Good luck with your move.

As far as building your own credit it's very simple. Get a couple credit cards, use them once and pay them off when the bill rolls in. Then shred the things. It will boost your credit rating and the mortgage companies will be eager to give you money. Lots of luck!

I agree no debt. My morgage is paid off and I have no outstanding bills. The only things that are sometimes hard on Soc Sec are the property taxes and insurance. I do keep 2 major credit cards that I charge on 2's a year and immediately pay off. My credit rating is 810. Yesterdy I had a phone call from one of the credit card companies to call right away so they can lower my interest rate. lol I didn't call them because I don't need a low interest rate when I pay my bills right away. They don't need my interest to keep my cards going. They get between 2 and 3 % from the merchant I charge a bill to each time. That is why some merchants hate credit cards.

Get a credit card and charge on it. I had a problem after my husband died with credit since it was all in his name. I charged at Kohl's and Penny's then went to the back of the store and paid the bill immediately before I got the card or even the bill. I just showed them the charge slip which they credited the payment to the charge # on the receipt. Instant credit.
