taz,
I don't think of David as evil. More like greedy and self-serving, always looking out for himself and his next score!
He may love Nikki, but can't help but see her as an easy mark. All he has to do is be nice to her, and she sees him as being so much "better" to her than Victor. I guess love really is blind?
Guess we'll just have to wait and see what he tries to pull next!

They all go bad from time to time then get good again . Hope Nikki can stay away from the bottle .
I remember when David played Lujack on As The World Turns . He was a good actor on that show and was killed off one time .

David just doesn't do anything for me! They could have someone with a lot more personality in that role!
I don't think of David as evil, either. Nor do I think of him as greedy or self-serving. Frankly, I liked the guy from the beginning. I thought he was a good campaign manager for both Jack and Nikki, then he was a great business associate and help to Nikki when she was running NVP (until Victor took that away from her) and while Victoria was in a coma. He continued to be a great business associate and help to Nikki when she became CEO of Jabot. I have always believed that he truly loved Nikki. I guess, in my mind, no character can be that good. In other words, he was too good to be true. The writers had to find some flaw with him and came up with the gambling addiction. Brad preyed on that addiction like opening up pandora's box and a major can of worms. I thought he was great with Nikki and for her, until he started lying to her and kept on lying to her about his gambling problem even though she gave him every chance to be honest with her about it. I believe his addiction has a real grip on him. He asked for the divorce because I think he really did love her and didn't want his addiction to cause her to be an easy mark. He's a better campaign manager and business associate than he is in personal relationships.
