Caregivers for Elderly Parents

I would like you to stop by this group if you are a caregiver for your parents. First of all - thank you...it is not easy and not everyone realizes how hard it is.

This site is where people that are taking care of their elderly and aging parents come to share problems, get ideas, vent frustrations, find out how to keep dealing with elderly anger, depression, mental and sometimes physical abuse from your loved ones while you are repaying the debt of love and care they gave you.

Stop by!

How does one sign on? My dad will be 80 in November; has Alzheimer's, diabetes, a pace maker and can hardly walk some days. My mom turns 75 next year and carries much of the burden for my dad. I moved from a brand new home to a money pit to help care for them both. In the mean time I am a widow raising two teenagers and have college coming up for one of them in little more than a year. I do feel sandwiched - great name for this generation!

Arnold and I were caregivers to our two moms and your right it's the hardest thing to do.My mom was a 1hr 45 min away and we traveled there to care for her needs 3 or 4 times a week, and my sisters looked in on mom the other 3 days.My
husbands mom had daily meds we had to give her, bathe her and
all household chores. We have since lost our moms but I would gladly take on the job again just to have them here
with us.We miss them terribly.
