Heads up on 6/24

A new Profile enhancement is in the works and will hopefully release tomorrow. This applies only to members who keep their Profile public. If you have a Profile that only your friends can see, then only your friends will see this. If your Profile is private, no one will see this.

Now you can stop wondering what people are up to—you can see everyone’s “Recent Activity” on their Profile page! This new feature is a mini-newsfeed of your activity on Eons, showing actions such as commenting on a blog, photo or video, posting in a group or making a new friend. It’s a quick and easy way to learn more about Eons members, what they like and what they’re up to. And if you see a Profile with no Recent Activity, don’t assume they’re not interested! They could be a new member who is trying to find their groove, or simply a member who hasn’t had the courage to dip their toes in the water yet. Use it as an opportunity to reach out and recruit them in your groups to start connecting with others!

I hope that if we have our settings to hide recent activity means that this will stay that way. I really don't want everyone to know everything.

I really, really enjoy Eons, but more and more my rights and choices seem to be narrowing down to “all open or all closed“. I want/expect a choice on this without closing my public profile to friends only.

As for M&M's checking their members activity, is this really necessary? I have two private groups and have no problem with my members participation, or not. I don’t wonder what they are up to, it‘s none of my business. They are adults who joined for their own pleasure, not to be prodded and stalked by nanny M&M‘s.

I'm in complete agreement with Test. I currently have settings so I can't be "followed" .. Will this setting remain in place?

Hopefully, my cohort meant to say the "Who can see my recent activity?" setting will control who can see your activity: Your friends or nobody.

@tallbob--
Please clarify what you just said in relation to what Beth was getting at.

This whole message is confusing to me.

I like it as TallBob said it, either everyone can see it or no one. I don't have mine set so people can see where I have been, I personally would like it to not show my my friends have been, I don't "follow" them places, and to me, it is one more thing to wade through, or try to overlook.

Just my quarter's worth!

Asked by prism^^^^^^

I will repeat the same question. Let's keep this simple. Yes? No?

What TB said will work for me ---but I don't mind my friends seeing my activity at all and would like to continue that, if possible, without having it public.
