NEW FOOD GAME....

Here's an idea for a new food game, one everyone can play and hopefully more will get involved and post answers!

Starting with the letter A and continuing through the alphabet...name a food item and tell us how you prepare it. In the event you name an herb, spice or a component item, tell us in what dishes you use it. If you cannot think of any, don't pass...go on to the next letter!

Okay, I'll begin with "AVACADO"...I like the Haas variety, sliced in a salad or in making guacamole.
Your turn, give us a "B".

DILL. A perfect, all-occasion spice that adds flavor to anything I fix. A little bit of that in a marinade gives moisture

Escargots... for which you can substitute fat free chicken broth with garlic and parsley for the garlic butter it's normally served with!

Fruit_ I like to buy a variety and cut them into small pieces. My best fruit salads are served ice cold. Chopped apples and sliced bananas with lemon juice, canned or fresh pinapple chunks drained, fruit cocktail drained, sliced strawberries, chunks of watermellon, Kiwi, canned or fresh peaches cut small, plums cut up, and some marachino cherries. Mix it all up, add 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or almonds, dust with powdered sugar if the fruit is tart, chill and serve as dessert, part of dinner or snack. Oh gosh is this good.

Garbanzo beans aka chick peas. Had I known these are used to make hummus I would have tried it sooner. I use it instead of mayo on my wraps.

Hot pepper sauce... I use it on practically everything! It really zings up an Eggbeaters omelet!
