If I do dream every night, have no recollection of having dreamt.
Is there a way to "remember dreams"?

You can absolutely change your path. Your life story isn't written in stone and just forget out predestination. If you married a man who beat you are you destined to repeat the same problems in your next marriage? Of course not!
Your dreams are telling you what you already know, what your next option is likely to be and its outcome. If you're about to sail into a rock then change your course!

jsw:
There are different kinds of dreams. Some are just your brain doing the equivalent of your harddrive 'defragging', it's file maintenance: need this memory, don't need that one. Others are wish-fulfillment or anxiety dreams. Others still are communications from one's higher self, one's 'guides' and/or one's loved ones here or in the afterlife. Still others are not true dreams at all but spontaneous astral travel, or your astral self recieving a visit from someone else who's astral traveling. (This last is why i sometimes say we can go back, forward or sideways in time while 'dreaming'.)
The trick is learning which are which. Your self knowledge is the greatest guide to that.
shoeshoe: absolutely one can learn to remember dreams. It is important when you are trying to do so that you use nothing (alcohol, OTC or RX drugs) that will suppress REM sleep, and or central nervous system...because doing so not only reduces dreaming it reduces recall of dreams. Most of what i can tell you is secondhand, because my problem was always the opposite--for the first half of my life i felt i lived at least two other lives while sleeping. Then i learned to meditate and screen out consciousness of the brain/mind maintenance dreams and recall only those that have 'meaning', messages for me. If meditation and affirmation work to 'edit' recall of dreams, then they should work to enhance it as well, and i am told by people who have used them that they do.
Almost any form of meditation will help you gain sufficient control to recall dreams, eventually you can even request dream solutions to waking problems.

There are always signs for us in life, but remember we always have free will.
Look at the recurring patterns in your dreams. What do you notice about that?
What feelings do you get when you recall your dreams?
What messages do characters in your dreams give you?
You might find some interesting suggesstions on my blog, and from there you can click onto my web page.

yes, of course you can change some thing in your path. I know people dx with a disease and who then meditated and connected with their guardian and had the dx reversed.
I had a vision the room i was in narrowed into a hallway with fire behind me, I meet the ever present 7 foot angel with the huge wings like John Travolta Had. I was given a choice to die in the coming fire and end the pain I had been praying about and trying to stop (Fibro plus other stuff) or I could go on living and deal with the pain and finish my other projects. I chose living. a few weeks late the room next to the dream room caught fire, the dogs were already out, my grandchildren were already out, my daughter was outside wondering what was making all the racket (smoke alarms) and I come running upstairs yelling 9-1-1, 9-1-1. The house was rebuilt and is very beautiful now. I still have pain I no longer pray to be relaeased from it, I am dealing with it, seems I need the pain to do what I have to do.

Pandan,
You nailed the key questions i tell people to ask themselves when they come to me for dream interpretation.
Sometimes people need to hear these things from more than one source before they accept it, so--thanks.
i agree entirely about free will as well...mentioned in another thread. i see most of my dreams as messages from myself, that help keep me on my chosen path.
