In 1985 I was fortunate enough to see Lil Anthony and the Imperials at an oldies show in Dallas. My husband and I had taken my 9th grade daughter with us, she knew everyone and all the songs that were playing. The main entertainer was Ricky Nelson. She knew his sons because they came and stayed with an aunt that lived in Dallas and she was friends with a girl that lived across the street from the aunt. I kept waiting for Ricky to show up, but he never did. lol Anyway, back to the story. She is a person that gets really bad migraines. Well, with the stale air, bright and flashing lights and loud music, you know a migraine came on. Yet, she didn't want to leave. So we moved to the back row and I fixed the chairs so that she could lay down. When Lil Anthony came on, she jumped up and sang every song with him, word for word. One of his "guys" was in the back and came over and asked if she would like to go and meet him. Her reply, "Only if my Mom can meet Rick". Wow, was I excited. So, she will always be my precious daughter that got me backstage to see Rick.
