I'm re-reading: Personal Power through Awareness and Soul Love both by Sonaya Roman, and The Essential Dalai Lama, (his important teachings) edited by Rajiv Mehrotra.
Peace and light.

I love the "Tao Te Ching." I've also worked with the Wilhelm/Baynes translation of the "I Ching."
Whenever I feel ‘preached to,’ I am immediately turned off. Consequently, when it comes to ‘spiritual’ reading, I find I often get more from the secular, which allows me the freedom to observe someone else’s experience and glean (from it) my own message. I do enjoy Gary Zukav’s writing, which is spiritual in nature.
Here are links to a couple of astrologers I like (both view astrology as a tool to self-awareness):

I just finished reading the secrets. I liked it, very good read. it is mostly stuff that I had read before, but for one asspect. The Secrets" tells you as the bible does to ask for what you want as if you have it already, and to it also says you must feel as if u have it. Like healing, feeling happy that you are already well. my foot is healed!
It says we create what we think, which I think is true. It also says if you feel bad, you are thinking the wrong thoughts. i agree.
luv u

BTW, this is a great idea, ASRAI. Thanks. I look forward to learning about the resources of other members.
I don't know if such a 'place' exists within this group's format, but it might also be useful to have a reference section, where members . . . whenever they feel the need . . . could go to seek out such info.

The Noonday Demon by Andrew Solomon, The Yoga-Sutra of Patanjali-translation by Chip Hartranft, Inspiration by Wayne Dyer, The Secret by Rhonda Byrne and Father Joe by Tony Hendra and referring back off and on to The Four Agreements by Don Miquel Ruiz.
When I am not reading, I am on the web reading Beliefnet and a couple other sites that were given here.

The tibetan Book of the Dead translated by Robert A. F. Thurman. I saw the reference in a documentary about the theme that they have in the netflix list. I have only read part of the history. Handling dead is an interest now that the adults of our growing years are dying.
ASRAL Dear,
I haven't been reading much lately due to being too busy, but I have a set of Goddess Guidance, Oracle Cards that are so beautiful. They remind me of you!
I also Read Russian Gypsy Fortune Telling Cards. I've been doing this for about 10 years.
Blessings, Starrybright

I recently followed along with Oprah Winfrey’s free online Book Club course of Eckhart Tolle’s “A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose.” The online course on this book was very interesting and insightful; and there were more than a million participants from all over the world, different religious and spiritual backgrounds, etc., all in this online course sharing their insights on this book. With all the different backgrounds I found it amazingly harmonious and refreshing.

Dr. Wayne Dwyer has and excellent book on the translation of the Tao Te Ching titled “Change Your thoughts, Change Your Life: Living The Wisdom of the Tao.” But back in the days when I was searching “Be Here Now,” by Ram Dass was one of my favorites. I have also read alot of Dr. Deepak Chopra’s books; among others. But there is a little book which I must recommend; it’s called “The Kybalion,” which is about Hermetic Philosophy and the seven major cosmic laws.

"Illusions, the adventures of a reluctant messiah".
I have read this at least eight times over the past 35 years. Funny, light reading, but contains a wealth of truth, or not, depending on your perspective. Everyone should read this at least once. May be a little hard to find by now.
"The Peaceful Warrior," based on a true story is also very useful to becoming a spiritual adult.
"Siddharta," by Herman Hesse is another book full of wisdom and truth about how to evolve spiritually.
Enjoy your reading.
BTW, if anyone actually reads any of my suggestions, let me know what you thought about what you read.
Namaste.
