Just started "When You are Engulfed in Flames" by David Sedaris. I'll let you know how it is when I finish. Have a good week-end!
Just finished Fearless Fourteen. Loved it. Another laugh out loud Stephanie Plum. Hope all you other Plum fans are enjoying it too.
I'm reading "Phantom Prey" by John Sandford. Was awake until 2:00 AM this morning, trying to finish it. Finally left about 120 pages, as my eyes just would not stay open.
I must begin "All The Pretty Horses" for my regular Library book club (next Tues). I've never read it, but saw the movie and didn't like it. Not sure I will like the book, as Cormac McCarthy is not one of my fave authors.
I daren't ask for "Fearless Fourteen". I'm actually only up to "Six" now (I think)of Stephanie's antics. Everyone had raved so much, I just started at "One" and am working my way up. And besides, I haven't anymore room for another book. Poor, pitiful me!

Just finished Maria Shriver's Just Who Will You Be? Am working on I'll Fly Away by Wally Lamb and Compulsion by Jonathan Kellerman. Hotter than the dickens out (Bakersfield, CA). so I can read without feeling guilty. Suppose I could do housework. Nah. Too hot for that too.

I'm just beginning Fearless Fourteen as well and chuckling already. Plus I've got The Great Escape going too. It's the true life story of the WWII prison escape - the Steve McQueen movie is based on it. VERY good so far.
The Final Solution - Michael Chabon. Small book I should have finished tonight. I will post my review.
City of Shadows - Ariana Franklin. I loved her Mistress of the Art of Death but I am not too sure about this one. I will let you know.
I'm reading Heather Hills of Stonewyck via audio. It's okay. It doesn't require as much "thought" as some books, but it's a smooth read, albeit predicatable - unless of course there's a twist. My next book will be John Adams.
Hi,
I just finished reading "The Bone Vault" by Fairstein and have started "Timeline" by Michael Crichton which I have never read for some reason. Sometimes in Fairstein's books, it's hard to believe the ADA would go to some of the places with the cop characters but it's a good read.
I just finished An Irish Country Village and was thinking of heading into the library soon as believe it or not my pile is gone.
Am beginning the third section of Jennifer Donnelly's THE TEA ROSE and am enjoying every page. roblyn60 recommended this first of a series and I second his recommendation. It's long but a captivating story. It's similar in type to A WOMAN OF SUBSTANCE.
Today I picked up Sandford's PHANTOM PREY. Looking forward to it!
