Re Hillary

Catalinamoon brought up the subject of Hillary's whereabouts. In a sympathetic article I read about this yesterday, the writer intimated through close Clinton pals that Hillary is essentially in seclusion with her family, and her location is an extremely closely held secret. Note was made of what an usual move it is for a candidate in her now position to take a month off from the Senate, but her colleagues there seem to be making due, for now, without her as they juggle some of the bills she is involved in. It was pointed out in this piece that Hillary's situation can be viewed as a bit unusual in it's fallout for her since she began concrete planning for this run for president back during Bill's years in the White House. She never dreamed of not achieving the nomination this time around given the field at the outset of the race. It seemed to me the writer was implying Hillary is having a tough time adjusting to her new position, and perhaps more than most would, due to her degree of drive for this bid, and the length of time she has been planning it being over a decade. The article also said how difficult it will surely be for her to return back to the Senate once again as only a Junior Senator, and that most people understood her overarching reason for getting into the Senate in the first place was to catapult herself to the White House. I honestly think it's conceivable she never looked at what she would do if she were denied the nomination. I find it quite interesting to see how she handles herself in her new role as supporting cast to the Democratic party's race to take back our country. She may reemerge with a new grasp on a reality that allows her to shine and use her best gifts going forward. I can empathize with such a spectacular loss and downturn of events.

It will be interesting, and I wish her well.

Interesting. Though I don't think she is in such sorry shape that she needs to hide out. She is one tough woman. I don't mind her taking a vacation, although she does have senate duties, one would think. Anyway, I heard the 26th she and Obama are going to do a mutual fundraiser. I hope it turns out well. I wish her well also.

Commonly known as the "I_put_all_my_eggs_in_one_basket" syndrome.

Now suffering the pangs of "The_bastard_took _my_cookie_of_entitlement"

paraphrased as WAHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Being, as I am, one who would have voted for HRC if the advent of Obama had not (thankfully) occurred I can truthfully say that I have not got very much sympathy for her. I will, however, give her kudos for her tenacity and the education that I received watching her up close and personal.

It is difficult for me to feel sorry for someone who went out of her way to spin things in her own favor even when it was obvious that she had lost. I was relieved that she gave it up when she did and I hope there is not too much residual flotsam out there that may give the Republicans an edge.

I will regain some respect for her when I see her jump into this election both feet first and root for her former opponent. But there were too many Clinton-esque nasties for me to think that she is going to be magnanimous about this.

It isn't that I don't see the reason for her to be downhearted...she planned long and hard for this. However she felt as though she was entitled to it and said it was "Her [My] turn". As much as I liked the Clintons when they left Washington I now see that I may have been a little head blind.

Now I guess we will see if her interest is in helping this country or if she simply wanted 'the crown'.

peace
Kit
