I went for my regular mammogram today and they found mini-calcification that is larger than last year. I never knew there was any there as the report came back to me clear. I have to see the surgeon on Monday to schedule a biopsy. I do not know if that is what is the best procedure or if there is a better alternative. Another bump in the road, I guess. I had my bone density test and found that I have osteopenia so I guess I will be looking at alternatives for osteoporosis treatments too. Getting old sucks!!!

Bonnie, you will be in our thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry you have to go through this. As you know I am a cancer survivor and I am her if you ever need to talk. GOD SPEED!!

Try not to worry. I have had 4 biopsys that were calcifications. They were all ok. The are common especially if you drink coffee. They monitor them with each mamogram and they change in size they biopsy them to make sure they are just calcifications. Alothough knowing this never makes me worry less.

Yes, it is probably nothing to worry about but I am sending up a prayer for you. I was just told I have osteoporosis. I see the GYN Thurs & then my mammo. I always worry too. Let us know how it goes.

Hey kid, you have many prayers going out for you! About 8 years ago I was having biopsy after biopsy and really did not know what to do either. I went to a Dr. who put me on Tamoxifen for 5 years. I gained a lot of weight, and had hot flashes and night sweats like you would not believe, but I am cancer free, and now in pretty good shape, and do not have the problems that I had before. I highly recommend that you find out if your body is alkaline or acidic. Then find a good homeopathic way to get your body alkaline. (I take a product called KM from Matol) Yes, I am a distributor, but this is NOT a solicitation to buy anything from me, just get your body more alkaline than acidic. You will be okay, have faith in the Doctors, but continue to ask questions and make sure what they suggest is right for you. Don't panic. Please keep us posted on how things go. I had calcifications years ago and had a biopsy done on it, didn't hurt except the numbing. If was not cancerous. They watched it closely and within a year or so it was much smaller and then it was gone. This whole thing is scary! That I know. I just had some skin cancer removed from my face and was told they didn't get it all and I go July 7 to get the rest removed. So I know that fear you have. Going through it myself. I sure will put you up in prayer.
