Doctor report

I don't like to talk about myself much but I did want to share one thing with you all. I went to the el cheapo clinic last Thursday. I had discovered a huge lump on my outer thigh above my knee. Like I so often have a tendency to do I kept putting off going to the doctors. Unfortunately I discovered on my get away weekend trip it was really effecting my mobililty. One of my friends had bought me a walker from Craigs list for $10 but of course I refused to use it. Can you tell I have a stubborn streak? So the doctor said it might be a blood clot. Anywho she decided she couldn't give me a diagnosis without an ultrasound. I go into the hospital Thursday for the test. I have to go in as a charity patient since I have no insurance. I just hate that word "charity". After having insurance most of my adult life I'm still trying to readjust my attitude. Woops slipping into a pity party. sowwy..The good news was my blood pressure was good. I guess the doctor didn't remember she has me on 4 different meds for BP. It should be normal don't ya think (smiles)
Please keep me in your prayers....

Prayers are there for you. Dont feel so bad or be hard on yourself, you have fallen into the same misfortune as the rest of us who lost so much due to our health. Just keep your chin up & smile, they'll all wonder what you've been up too.

Gee i hope everything is ok with you.

and I understand the charity issue. But charity is a good thing. You will get what you need without the added stress of paying huge medical bills. That is a good thing both emotionally and physically. Charity is there by the kindness of others to help those who can't afford it.

take care

peace baby

Most likely it is not a blood clot or the Doc would have admitted you right away. They will probably do a doppler ultrasound to check for reduced blood flow in that area. If you have good color & warmth in that extremity, it is doubtful you have a clot. A clot is a medical emergency. You may find you have peripheral vascular disease & maybe they will put you on meds for it. Don't get too worried. It could be as simple as a lipoma (a fatty tumor)
tb, I am sending prayers up for you. I'll bet you'll be just fine.
As far as Charity goes, we all pay one way or another & I am sure you have paid your dues. Everyone deserves good medical care & it's not your fault that our country is negligent in that area.
Let us know how it goes.

I use my walking stick I have had for years, to use for hunting mushrooms. It is a big crooked stick. I know for sure nobody will take it LOL Loving Hugs, Dawn
