Our Government

Why is our government allowing Islamic schools to thrive here in the United States when they have books that our FBI found out have the rights to kill a person in it. From the Arab countries they get these books, plus the Arabs pay for the schooling here. Where are these killers allowed to be in our country? Aren't people in the United States not taking notice after 9/11? How many people have to die here, before these people are thrown out of this country for good? Maybe hundreds or thousands, maybe a school full of children, or different soft spots in this country - that the terrorists have claimed are going to go after.

This government wants to hold their hand while the citizens of this country die or have to fear another attack. What is wrong with this scenario? Haven't we learn yet that this enemy lives by the book - and wants to take control of our country - well they are on their way, for noone is taking the time to notice - not even our government, except the FBI - but are they doing something about it - NO!

Did I wake up one morning and find myself on the other side of a mirror - in another dimension in time - I want it back to a more peaceful and productive state of affairs in this country. Finding happiness instead of being wary of what is going to happen next like in Israel - the way they live and being able to have my freedom and rights in this country. AND THAT MEANS RESPONSIBILITY.
Thank you Brandy. That is exactly what this site is for. I hope, that ultimately Americans will wake up and see how screwed up things have become. I agree, it takes action not just complaining. I am 59 years old, and I have never seen our wonderful America the way it is now. It brings me to my knees in prayer. There are so many issues before us, and I am amazed how many bills are being passed in the Senate that are either hidden within so most people are not aware. There was a time when a man's honor and handshake said it all. Now there is deception, and lying, and it seems to never be addressed. Having said that, I can also say that there are many people who love our land and are working as hard as they can to keep things in check.
Thank you for sounding off and letting the world know how you feel. Hopefully this site will bring encouragement and ideas will be accumulated for changing to the better. It is not too late, but it means that every American will have to take a stand for what we have and also for what we are see how corrupt we as a nation have become.Lets hope that is soon and people wake up to what is going on in our nation.

I agree there needs to be changes in our country. Open borders will not make it any easier. It will mean less jobs for the ones who want to work. My next door neighbor was born America but his ancestors weren't. He is a good husband and teaches their children to respect others. My family is from Finland, moved here in 1901. Because my mother was 1/2 Finn she was called communist for many years by my father's family. Things change at a rate some people think is not fast enough. Then when there are sudden changes, like the World Trade Center and only military aircraft were allowed in the air, the passengers griped about being late. Every year or so the Blue Angels comes to Boise. I remember one year, I was working in Boise and they were practicing the complicated maneuvers they had to perform. While I was driving my route as a television tech, I heard on the radio that the police and mayor were getting calls, over 800 calls in two hours complaining about the noise. What did they do? The Angels moved their practice session out over the desert where no one could see them. I for one loved to watch as one plane turned near our shop. I could actually see the pilot, he was that low... I for one celebrated that moment and still remember the number 6 on the tail of the F18 Hornet. Lower I could have probably got the serial number from the tail.

Brandy, about the World Trade Center, I have the entire days events on video tape as it happened. It took three tapes in six hour mode to get the CNN coverage, I can't watch them... but I have them. They will never be erased.

Lastly and yet most importantly, I am sorry you left the group and you are welcome any time. But it is a story and poem forum. Write a story about what it may have felt like to be there... at ground zero.... post it as a story... and in no way would it every be asked to be moved. I know there is a lot of passion in what you write so a story would be easy.

Unfortunately, there are many people who are feeling the same way you do. I am one, and one of the reasons this group exists.
SO many AMericans have been silent too long, and too secure to believe that this cold happen to our country. To make matters worse, the leadership of our country provides few choices that are a solution or sounds like a solution to undo what has been done.
Perhaps there are readers who have some ideas to start with.
I have contacted my Senators more than I ever have before, and belong to a watch group that really reviews the new lars that are being passed without AMerican's knowledge.
Many times, the laws, are already passed before our country even hears about it. Now that is just plain WRONG.
I encourage every AMerican that is reading this entry, to make those contacts, to know the issues, and make your voice heard. I hope we can turn it around, but it will take lots of efforts and letters like you have just written.
Very well written I might add.
Thanks for your opinion! It is very much appreciated, and I hope that others will add to the discussion or give some ideas that are workable. Our country needs help. There are so many things going on now, that you need to pick your battle and make a difference.
Good job Brandy Sunshine! Tauna
