TESTIMONY
I have worked a few jobs in my life that required college degrees and had been on where I am currently at for a few. I have enjoyed working with the adult population in helping to enpower them to not only stay away from drugs,but better themselves. However,when I applied for a new position,I was asked for my high school diploma. No problem,afterall,since 9/11 that has become paramount. I could not find mine,AND my former high school had closed down. For 6 months I was sent around to the state bd. of ed.,the township,and college. I got nowhere. I had been offered new positions and was rejected because of no diploma. I hurt. But let me tell you,when your down theres no place else to look but up! I steadfastedly prayed and as Jacob did in Genesis,I was holding on until He blessed me. I kept the faith. I fought the good fight of faith. Instead of giving up,I decided to take the ged test until everything cleared up. I knew it would be diffacult after having graduated over 30 years ago,but I went in knowing I was more than a conqueror in Christ. I felt out of place,testing with those who were young enough to be my child or grandchild. I failed by 1 question. Determined evenmoreso,I retook the math and passed the test at another site some 30 miles away! The Instructor allowed me to come in and retest in her office!
Thats the favor of God!
And now,I have been offered a new position at double my salary at another facility working with troubled teens! God is good! God is able! I am no longer searching for that 'old' diploma,I press on and continue to run the race.
God is truly a rewarder of those of faith and courage!
