Interleague games are a pain

This sounds like sour grapes but I do believe the NL has an unfair advantage when we play on their turf. AL teams are built for the DH so we are screwed when we play at NL parks. MLB should level the playing field. Have everybody on the same page. DH or no DH for everyone.
These Interleague games are no longer a novelty. They are just plain stupid.

Poor Colon almost killed himself and DID hurt himself swinging the bat. Damn. And more worries about Timlin. His cutter didn't cut and his sinker didn't sink. Double Damn!!

Pat, you're sounding like Hank Steinbrenner venting over the loss of Wang in the NY paper this AM: "I just think it's time the NL joined the 21st century."

I like the DH. I like that it can give life to stars who, after a certain age, can't play their position any longer, but can still hit really well. I also like that you don't put your pitcher in jeopardy from wild pitches, etc. I know they get batting practice before interleague play begins, but it's not much when those muscles haven't been used continually.

I like getting to see teams we don't see that much. Of course, my opinion has nothing to do with the fact that we do so much better than the other teams in interleague play.

Oh! No! I can't possibly sound like Hank !!! He's a whiner. I just do not like interleague play. I think it's a waste. I would much rather see more of our divisional rivals than the likes of the Reds.
I really don't mind the DH. But AL teams are built differently because of it which gives the NL a distinct advantage when we play with their rules.

I agree with you about Timlin. His ERA is horrendous. It's time they put him out to pasture, even though he has done a great job in the past. Along with Timlin, they should put Hansen on waivers, or trade him, or send him down to Pawtucket.

I haven't seen anything impressive about Hansen either. He was supposed to be such a hot item a year ago, but when he comes up, he just doesn't seem to have what it takes to be in the big league.
