Meds and lighted headedness

My adult son takes Amphetamine Salts 10 mg and Cymbalta 60 mg.
Now that the weather is hot,he gets light headed when outside in the heat.
He has to work outdoors. Are the meds causing this? What can he do?

I will need some additional information.
Is the person who is on this dose regimen a depression patient with a sleeping problem (too much sleep), or debilitating pain?
How long has this person been taking these meds.

Without trying to guess, I think the issue is urinary excretion has been multiplied by the Amphetamine salts. Working in this heat and not having enough water to replace what is running out as sweat and urine can cause dizziness.

A mineral fortified fluid (Gatorade) in copious amounts might work...

The Amphetamine Salts is for depression and pain due to a back injury. He couldn't sleep because of stress. The Cymbalta is for ADD. He went on the meds last fall.He is getting light headedness, weak and dizzy in the heat.
Thanks for your help.

Even better than Gatorade, have your son go to a Sports shop and get one of the real electrolyte/mineral athletic water additives. There are a couple out there that are tablet form that are just dropped into a bottle of water. These are made for people who perspire in extreme amounts. The basic sports drinks such as Gatorade are sugar, potassium and salt. Yes, they worked to get the Florida Gators through the second half of a football game, but they really don't replace the electrolytes and necessary minerals the body looses. One such tablet is called NUNN view link .
