Obama's IQ The Highest Of Any President Ever?

The former Guidance Counselor of Obama's private Hawaiian school has supplied The Washington Post with a certified copy of
Obama's Stanford-Banai IQ Certification, one of which was taken in 1966 when he was a kindergardener in Hawaii before moving to Indonesia, and one which was taken as entrance protocol as a freshman in his private (extremely exclusive) Honolulu private highschool.

His IQ was clocked at 172 and 166 respectively (IQ's normally have a fluctuation of 6 or 7 points from test to test so that discrepency is normal).

That puts Obama in the certifiable clinical genius category.

Obama's campaign is apparently NOT HAPPY about The Washington Post preparing to disclose this, because they fear it adds to his reputation as not an "everyman" and being too "elitist".

FYI-- HRC's certified IQ is 140.

The constant comparison of Sen. Obama to Sen. Clinton is gettin' old. I had hoped we could move on to higher ground here. President Bill Clinton's IQ is probably higher than either of them....but do we want to play the numbers game like this? I understand that many are trying their best to help Obama get elected and it's a very exciting time for many of us, but this isn't a very good way to go about it....in my opinion.

Not for me & I suspect many others THANKS O'MAMA for confirming what most of us has pretty much known (his higher intellect) for quite some time! Also very important s his obviously rather high emotional IQ.

It's an interesting piece of information, and I don't see it as playing any numbers game. Nor do I have a problem with putting the IQ of HRC on here. I don't think it was done as anything but a point of interest because she was also in the primary race and the figure was "handy" .
It's very much ok to be proud of our candidate for his fine mind. That mind was nurtured into being by his mom working with him as a very young boy, so it is also a
tribute to her parenting of Barack!

Various points well taken. I agree that his high emotional intellect is one that we all are so happy to see!

Don't feel bad, Obamamama....we all heal at our own rate! Just like the HRC supporters heal at their own rate, and all can't jump on the Obama bandwagon
right away, some of us have been bruised more than a bit by what occurred during the primaries. I know I have been. It takes a while to let it settle & heal. That was a
very rough and sometimes nasty roller coaster ride!

Doesn't surprise me, which makes it even more ironic when you think that people like Glen Beck who barely finished high school think they know so much more than the Senator.

OMG. I've often speculated about his intelligence when I notice certain types of thinking he seems to be doing. I've thought of him as a genius, but to get these quantifiable stats on the highly reliable Stanford-Benet (I think that's how it's spelled without looking it up?) just blows me away. His score puts him in something like the top 10ths to hundredths of 1 percent of the population. IQ only varies a few points throughout a person's entire lifetime.

When did this appear in the Washington Post? That guidance counselor would have done well not to have released that information without the consent of the campaign. It seems to me it's a breech of confidentiality in general.

Although I agree that there are those who may see Obama's IQ as further proof that he must be "elitist," I don't understand their reasoning. To (probably mis-)quote Jon Stewart: I want a President who makes me feel like a blithering idiot.

Unless those naysayers, who would proclaim, "See, he is 'elitist,'" have come up with viable solutions . . . to myriad problems facing our nation . . . it stands to reason that we *need* someone who can out think the rest of us.

I say, "Bring him on!"
