Park clean up volinteers needed

Conneaut Lake Park

Saturday, June 7
Sunday, June 8
9am - 4pm

Volunteers will meet in front of the Beach Club

Lunches will be provided

Please bring rakes, cleaning supplies, paintbrushes and rollers, brooms, rags, paper towels, etc. with your name clearly visible on anything you wish to retain. We specifically need garbage bags, weed killer, tarps, weed wackers and chain saws.

Please let us know if you have a special trade
such as electrical, carpentry, plumbing, etc.

We have 6 rooms at Fairway 12 - call 814-382-5775. Tell them you're with the clean up crew at Conneaut Lake Park. We also have 5 cabins and some campsites at Camperland. Please be aware that these cabins are like wooden tents. They have electricity but no water. Please bring your own bedding. There are communal showers and rest rooms. Call the Park at 814-382-5115 or Camperland directly at 814-382-7750. All rooms, cabins and campsites are free of charge to our volunteers.

It sounds like a fun project, although I doubt I will be able to make it. My husband works 50 and 60 hr weeks, with no vacation time this year. He just changed jobs in Feb. I can't drive that far due to RA. But I wish everyone luck with the clean up.

What a disaster for me! There are so many things going on that weekend. It would have been so nice to come out and help...I am an expert with a weed-whacker. I am involved with Amateur radio, doing emergency communications for a charity bike race on Saturday. Then Sunday is the Experimental Aircraft Association annual flyin...as a member, I assist every year with that. Also, on Sunday, during the flyin, I also need to assist the Civil Air Patrol who will be helping out at the flyin. I am an officer with Squadron 503. Hopefully, next year the dates will not conflict.
