Mr Goodcents -
on the south side of Broadway, between Swan and Columbus... fair prices, good sandwiches, nice lasagna.
Buddy's Grill -
on the northeast corner of Grant and Swan. Tradition for my daughters' to go there JUST for the chocolate chip cookie. They bake the cookies, which are the size of a saucer, one at a time, and are served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, drizzled with hot fudge sauce. Big enough to be shared by two people, if you don't want to feel too guilty.

For those folks wanting to stay someplace different, when in Tucson, try Anna's Bottle house: view link It's usually booked up quickly in the winter, but still open in the summer months.
sorry to be so long - My favorite place in Tucson (which is my hometown sort of) is Bentleys House of Coffee and Tea - wonderful
My favorite day trip is Bisbee. Lots to see and do there, I have another house there that I rent out. I lived there for awhile but work was too hard to find.
I have lived here since the fifties.

It even shows the menu... looks good!
I Have lived 13 years over on the far East side of town (but just recently moved more central), so have never been there. Will definately check it out! Thanks!

Best Pizza places..downtown: Brooklyn Pizza Company (534 4th Ave.)..also try their Wop sandwich...yum...otherwise it's MAMA's pizza (Speedway...hands down...Either way go hungry.
Best Mexican restaurant on the Eastside...La Parilla Suiza (5602 E. Speedway).
La Salsa is more casual but excellent food and the best choice of salsa and other toppings. Delicious fish tacos.
Sakura's is nice for atmosphere and great Japanese and Sushi. Wednesday night is ladies night. Live music nightly. 6534 E. Tanque Verde.
And a great sushi place (but don't recall name) in Albertson's shopping center on Broadway and Harrison. Excellent food and service. My fav is the soft-shelled crab roll.
There are so many...maybe I'll add more later. Btw...I'm at the Wrightstown location "Rubs". Suz
