Boom/bust

I tried the link to the index, but I couldn't get it to work so I'm sorry if this has been covered.

Is there a way to see who keeps busting your posts when they are boomed? We have a couple of members who must have enemies because every post they boom gets busted. There was a new blog today that had two booms and now it has none.

The boom busting thing has turned into a retaliation tool for people who just want to annoy others. I have two suggestions for 'busting booms'

1.) Get rid of it.
2.) Let us see who is doing the busting.

When I first joined Eons, I made a decision to ignore all that boom nonsense. I suggest that you do the same. Yes, I'm sure that some people would use that whole thing for retribution on their 'enemies'. Every social networking website has several people who are childish enough to have 'enemies' on the site. It's best to not even get involved with that 'booming' crap.

I agree with the others, and am not participating in the 'Booms'. I wish we could take that feature off our profile if desired.

I like to read the boomed posts on the home page. I think that if eons lists "boomers" they should also list "busters"

I don't know if "boom busting" is retaliation or the new kids on the block harassing the old folks. Either way, I'm ignoring the booms myself, and wish there was a way to get rid of them from my profile page.

I do notice though that no one complains about the booms when it says there are 8 boooms and then you yourself go to boom it and you have to fill out the form, which means you are truly the first to boom it.

As adults, I have to agree with the others, don't worry about the booms or the busts, if you like a blog, or post, boom it, if not, don't.

For those who bust it oh well, so they are not as happy a person as you. To list who busted it, and some may not even know what that does, then just starts another "fight" and who needs any of it.

We are long past the gold stars on our papers, don't you think?

Beachbum72, what "new kids on the block" have you seen on eons? Where have you observed problems caused by "new kids on the block?" Why do you jump to the conclusion that "new kids on the block" are responsible for the bad behavior of people your age and older?

Not exactly an example of the Power of Love, is it?

Collieflower - I agree with you on that - it doesn't have to be the "new kids on the block" it can be the oldsters in the wheelchairs too - - in fact a few of my "I can't believe that person happenings" have been with people my own age or older, who it seems enjoy acting like 5 year olds. LOL

Assuming that all busts are "retaliation" is a bit paranoid. Why can't booms just be a friendly thumbs-up and a bust be a “don't agree but don't want to get into an argument” thumbs-down? I sometimes boom things that I think others might be interested in, but I have busted a few because there was a serious factual error, not because I wanted to annoy anyone. I don't see it as that divisive, but if you don't like it, ignore it.
