whats up with harley guys

why is it that when your riding a cafe bike japaneese or italian that you always get smart ass comments like ;get a real bike? well i tell them i have a real bike , i just happen to like my bikes style and performance . and #2 my bikes made in kentucky! besides you have to be pretty insecure to always have an attitude towards other riders because of what they ride. its funny my buddie rides a ducati, another a bmw. and me a honda vfr . which happens to have been chosen best bike in the world 11 times by the most well read bike mags in the world.i have nothing against harley guy,s but if you have a big mouth about how your gonna smoke some jappa or duck or bmw get ready to get your ass seriously embarrassed. maybe its this part of the country ? i dont know. has anyone else ever incounterd these wanna be riders that just dont get that a real rider has some class and respect towards all bikes

You don't have the market cornered on those type of riders. THey are all over the country. We have them here in Ks too. I don't even responed to them. If I do just ask them how long they want to sit still and idle on a hot day! That will usually shut them up pretty fast!

I have a rear tow hitch and carry a tow rope, so that they don't have to stay the side of the road in no cell zones. I alway wave and smile while passing a HD on it's way to the special shop that allow then to come in on trailers or being towed by a Jap.

well just folowing up on a few responses.last weekend my wife and I took off up the seacoast and went to portsmouth nh for lunch. actually i was waitng for the big mouth harley momma that said she would be back here on saturday so her husband could smoke my vfr,. well i waited and waited but no big mouth harley girl.i guess the thought of me owning his bike was to much for them . ive already raced AND WON ANOTHER GUYS BIKE A FEW YEARS AGO . NOTHING LIKE OWNING A FREE NIGHT TRAIN, AND AS THEY SAY HARLEYS ARE A INVESTMENT . AND THEY ARE FOR ME TOO WHEN I SELL EM AND IVEST MY WINNINGS INTO MY BANK ACCOUNT. dontget me wrong I respect all bikers but when someone call me out like that the have to understand that theres a lot of very good cafe riders that club race and have been on a track and I just happen to be a fast 51 year old ricerocket boy . but a respectful one. have a safe riding season where ever you live and what ever you ride.

Different people like different things. And some people just like to be negative.

A guy on a Harley stopped to help me last summer when I was stopped by the side of the road in Missouri. Turns out I was just putting on my sunglasses but it was nice he checked.

I don't think it is just Harley guys. I know it isn't all Harley guys. I ride a Harley myself and know others that do but don't make dumb comments to others that ride something else. I chose a Harley basically because it fit me better. It had disc Brakes front and rear, and the other cruisers I saw from other brands had rear drum breaks. They have changed since then. As for as the other sport bukes, my body id too old for them. Sorry you had the problem, I don't think it's the bike but the one on it that is the problem.

Hey Pug sorry to here about the comments made to you but not all guys riding a harley are like that. Like life, its about choice ride what you are comfortable with. I have been riding for over 32 years on a varity of bikes, but H-D is my bike of choice for the last 5 bikes.I just lump the "get a real bike "guys in with the morons who think that motorcycles should be ridden like a pinball machine. They have two wheels for a reason, and its not to see how long someone can travel with one of them trying to touch the sky at 65 mph in traffic.Sorry to have rambled so long. Just remember RIDE SAFE and Ride long no matter what you ride.

Get over it. They're posers not riders.

When I ride the Road King they wave and smile. When I ride the Sportster (which I prefer), half will look straight ahead and pretend I'm not there lol . . .

The really funny part is half ot those Harly riders that want to snup others own nothing more than a Harly T shirt.
I personaly am a Beemer freek and we get bad raped sometimes to. Ya some Beemer owners are a little uppity but so are some sport bike owners. I wave at everyone.
I long for the wind

I long for the wind
as it blows through my hair.
For when I’m out ridding
I haven’t a care.
I feel so much freedom
It beckons to me
It keeps calling out
come ride and be free.
The sound of the engine
The G’s in a turn
The smell of some rubber
You may sometimes burn
The feel of the gas tank
As it meets with your chest
And tells you that wheely
was one of your best
So ride free my friend
Ride free and true
Know my best wishes
Go ridding with you.

be out there experiencing what alot of people don't even
know about.......
