New Remedy for pain

This is no joke and I'm not high on any legal or illegal substance. I have severe back problems from an earlier life. LAst century in fact. The pain gets intense and I discovered a somewhat harsh cure for the pain. I keep bees. When in severe pain I hobble down to a skep, kick the hive and turn around pulling up my shirt. At least 4-6 pay me back for disturbing them. Works everytime. I wear a facial veil because the little buggers love to go for your eyes. There's a medical study here somewhere but it would take five years just to get out of committee. Surely someone smarter than me(anyone practically) could find the pain killer in bee venom and come up with better ways of doing it. I sometimes get real intelligent and catch 6-8 in small jars. Pain comes, shake them up, unscrew lid and quickly place on affected areas. I didn't dream all this up. Fifty years ago my farming grandparents would place arthritic hands in wasp nests for relief.

Oh, my! I've never heard of bees being good for anything but manufacturing honey. I'd be interested in hearing of anyone else who has found this beneficial. Since it's knowledge that your grandparents were aware of, why haven't we put it to use on a grand scale?!!! I'll bet I know why...the pharmacutical companies wouldn't be able to make as much money then as they do now. Their lobbyists have probably been instructed to make sure the study that you mentioned NEVER makes it to committee. Thanks for sharing!

Hi, Convertible:

You are one brave person. My husband suffers with chronic back pain but, even for his sake, I AM TERRIFIED OF BEES!!! However, if they find a way to bottle the treatment, I'd purchase.
