Java

I have a question that will probably sound pretty stupid to you all, but here I go. What is the difference between "Java" and "Javascript"? (If any)

I can't help you by answering your question but, perhaps, I can help you feel a little better by telling you that. You are not alone in not knowing everything there is to know about the world of PC's. Wickipedia is where I often go for answers so you might try comparing their response when you plug in "java" and "javascript". I'm guessing that "java" is just a shortened version of "javascript". Of course, Wickipedia may include "coffee" as a response to your inquirey re: "java". :)

I didn't know either, so I did a search. You can find the information here:

Don't let the first few paragraph get you down. Further down, they compare the two to building a car. Further down, they tell the main differences. Helped me understand a little bit.
