Our little group here on EONS is now one year and two months old. I notice [in my member list] that there are quite a few EONS people who've joined us over this period, and never been back again. Most of these were simply singles seeking out other singles, for dating. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I left them on the roster until now. However, the subject matter of our group is still RVing, sharing our travels, experiences, and advice when we can help out other members.
Therefore, in the next few days, I will be 'weeding' this list and deleting members who have not visited us within the last 6 months, at all, and those who have never posted any messages if they joined more than 4 months ago. This way, we can all get to "know" our frequenting members a little better. Happy RVing, all!
I think some people will only ever read this group in the summer because we are holed up somewhere for the winter. I'm in Cairo, Egypt again for the winter because Colorado is losing it's appeal for me in the winter. My back is getting old and the snow shoveling makes my hands hurt. There's a Christmas tree in a store window here that has stirofoam snow coming out the top of the tree and it's gathered up in an umbrella-type thing under the tree that sends it back up the center pole to snow again and that's the only snow I've ever seen here. When I get back to Denver in June I plan to go out on the road again. It's hard for me to keep up with the groups I joined on Eons and mostly I just play games on this site to keep my brain from getting old. I think maybe we should all review the groups we joined and drop out of the ones we don't check on too often ourselves. I know I will someday be dropped from this group but thought I would just send this note to trick you for a little bit. Happy New Year! Nancy
You are right about this group Nancy..not much posting ..Sounds as if you are wintering in a nice place ..different anyway..I'm in NC no snow but plenty of cold rainy days ..having another one today..Happy New Year to you.. Happy miles to you when you return to the states
Don't delete me...I still have my 1976 Argosy restoration project though it has been on the back burner for a while. I hope to get some progress made this spring and maybe even take a trip this summer. I still work so that takes a lot of my time.
I'm one of those inactive members who joined in the early days of the group and I've never posted very much. One of the main reasons is that I got married in April of last year. Since I no longer "rv single", I'll save you the trouble and remove myself. I wish you all the best and must say that rving together certainly beats rving single, at least for me. Hi Mitz, It has been an awfully long time since I was back, but at the time I joined I saw my "semi" retirement way different as what the reality was of working "part time".... But now I am done and completely retired... so I am back . Nancy
