From 350+ lbs to 185 lbs

If you watched the Weekend Today show, you saw a 24 year old lady who lost 165 lbs over 2 years. She did it with no surgery or pills.

Until 2 years ago, most of her life, she was morbidly obese.
Her brother lost lots of weight and this motivated her to start.

She focused on fresh fruits, veggies, lean meats, whole grains and plenty of other healthy food. She researched the internet daily for new helpful info. Gradually, she was able to start moving more and more.

In her interview, she said the one important key was blogging daily. Being incredibly honest with her good days and bad ones. She took pictures along the way and posted those.

If my math is right, she averaged a 7 lb loss per month.

Tried to find a link to the interview or to her blog, but can't.

If someone that young could be patient with 7 lbs gone each month, I see that as a great lesson for those of us older who have to realize that it gets harder to lose weight.

The menopausal weight I lost was 35 lb and it took me 9 months to lose it. It was a very slow tedious process but in doing that way, I changed my eating habits completely. And they became habits not a passing fad.

Hi just saw your post after logging in. It got on the intro page before a member goes to their profile in case you didn't know. Anyway, I joined this group. Don't know how often I'll be on or be active, but loved your post. Very encouraging story about her weight loss from 350 to 185. Thanks for sharing.
Hugs from your friend, Diane
