Gullible Americans
I don’t like Oprah or P. C. McGraw. They, and people like them, use people to promote themselves and their own riches. They symbolize a lot that is wrong with America. They say they care, throw a little money at a problem now and then, but the monies they amass is at the expense of the misfortunes of others. We are a materialistic and self indulgent nation and we need to stop and think about how the rest of the world sees us. I have friends from other countries who laugh at how shallow Americans are. I can’t laugh…it isn’t funny.
It makes me smile that nothing was sold. The comments of the customers make me sad. Oprah is just a woman who was lucky and found someone to market her properly. How sad that some women don’t think they ‘could fill Oprah’s shoes”. All you have to do is be nice to people. Expensive clothes, like having lots of money, have nothing to do with being great or a good person.
