Mother's Day Dining

Mother's Day has become the most popular day of the year to dine out in a restaurant. Will you dine in or out tomorrow? If you dine out, will healthy food be on the menu where you choose to dine? Do you think Mother's Day is relevant, or do you believe it to be a commercial promotion for restaurants, florists, and greeting cards? Do you even feel like a mother now that your children are mothers themselves?

Not dinning out. We will be doing barb Q out back. I have to work a few hours at my part time job. but will be done by 3pm. Good excuse for me to get my son and husband to do the cooking. Don't like the restaurants on the holidays. Too busy.
Have a great Mothers Day all you mothers. Joyce

Sorry we all missed this group of questions, 'see if I can answer.

My son made cheese burgers for me. It was tasty, the meat was lean, I stacked on the tomatoes, lettuce and used a light spreading of mustard and a bit of mayo. Since I never eat cheese anymore it was a treat to have a slice of cheese. He also made french frys and I just had a few.

To answer the rest of your questions I think all holidays have become a media/product promotion and Mothers day is as important as it ever was. I am a better mother now that my boys have grown up (lol the pressure is off) and they have wonderful wives who are excellent mom's and they honor them on mother's day.

You know my kids (20 and 30) have made such a big deal about holidays, I hide. So I was on vacation for Mother's day... out of the state. They both bought me cards and gifts that were waiting for me when I got home. I don't care how society plans it's time, but its nice to receive a compliment for no reason.
