That's amazing Fritz! I usually plant tomato plants Memorial Day weekend here in Wisconsin if its not too cool or wet. Right now my tomato plants are small. I've cut back on tomato plants this year to make room in the garden for other vegtable I want to try. I started some cabbage from seed. Some say they get wormy easy. I guess I'll find out!
Last year this group inspired me to do some veggies on my deck - my old veggie garden is now a test garden for plants I'm trying for clients. I have spinach and cilantro leafing out, but in the midwest, Memorial Day is early - the soil needs to be warm for tomoatoes. Keep us posted,

well up here in northern nj, it was 20 last week. i put out all the cole crops, and covered them over the freezing periods. my mators are still in the greenhouse, with the cukes and gourds. the peas weren't up yet so they were safe.
they are though popping their little heads up now. and the broccoli is already 6 inches high. we have to cover cole crops around here, or they become fully covered with cabbage loopers. so i buy tool. and make wire cages and cover it with tool. keeps the flys out and the weather in.
