They're OK, I imagine. From reading their principles I have concluded they don't seem to live up to their name. Some kind of Thoreau-like vision perhaps. I'm not sure.

If they are a group who wish to work to keep religion out of politics then they are doing the right thing. I have read much of what they have to say and agree with their intended purpose.

I see a problem that is noticeable in all 'movements', governments, religions and other such 'groups'. There needs to be a 'coming together' of like minded people and all that is going on is a few people join a lot of 'movements'. Until we all are in one group nothing we do as individuals really makes much difference. They are worth checking out further, I think. I asked them questions about what they are doing politically. I am waiting for their response and will share it with you when it comes.

I tried to join a Brights Meetup (it didn't go anywhere---I live in the Bible Belt) but I am trying a different one next week and will report back:

It will be held at a Unitarian church but is not part of the UU church---actually, some of its members have started it because they don't like the way the church is going---they are offering a Law of Attraction class---this group is to counteract the 'woo."
