Hoping to see lilacs!

We've had a cooler than usual spring in San Francisco but even that didn't keep my little lilacs around for long. I have managed to grow them here but they pale by comparison to the wild ones I grew up surrounded by in Butte. I'm headed up to Helena and Butte in two weeks to visit friends and snoop around about eventual relocation back home - and I'm hoping to see some of the wild lilac blooms. Have seen the recent snows and am still amazed by the changing weather patterns. Late spring snows were not unusual in my childhood - I still remember the gloom of the last ones when I was SOOOO ready for summer. Montana - nine months of winter and three months of company - haha. I'll be up again in July visiting the Seeley-Swan area - need my Montana "fixes" to keep my spirit going. Thanks for the tunes - I haven't thought about the Moody Blues (an old favorite!) in a long, long time.

Speaking of "cooler" springs, we are still getting snow here! I guess a Butte native knows what that is like. Have a great trip "home" and I still think Helena would be a better fit for you than Butte. It has more of a "cosmopolitan" feel to it than Butte, you know, got culture?
