YOU....AS A BOTTLE OF WINE

Okay Wine Group Members.....here is something fun for you to do today. We can all get to know your personality a little more and how you think about yourself and wine. Please participate and have fun with this. I got this idea from a post by a new member.....my friend Irish.Rose, so thanks IR.

1. You are a bottle of Wine
2. What varietal is your "Wineself"
3. How would you describe your "Wineself" using some of the phrases used for describing wine. A little flexibility here is fine.
4. What would you call your "Wineself" and describe what your "Wineself" Bottle/Box would look like.
5. Where is your "Wineself" bottled
6. How much does a bottle of your "Wineself" cost

Have fun with this.....thanks for participating....

Sauvignon Blanc. Tart, sassy, some sweet undertones, sometimes caustic, in the New Zealand style. I'd be called Paradox because as I so often describe myself what you see is what you get and things are seldom as they seem. A blue glass bottle, long and lean as I'd like to be, plain white label with the name in metallic cobalt blue with a picture of a laughing buddha under it. I'd be bottled in Calistoga CA at a small quaint winery producing very limited quantites of wine---the grapes would be from there too. My price? Depends who's buying and how willing they are to look hard.....I can be a bargain for something (as my husband tells me) so orignal and priceless......

maybe we should do a wine tasting and pic the best bottle.......

I think I'll go with this Cab Sav.... bold, complex, full-bodied, silky with a finish that borders on endless... yeah, I guess that'll work .

packaged with a label of a red dress with lots of bling ....cost? not sure.... like so many things, it's not the original cost , it's the upkeep ! ...

Cabernet Sauvignon
All hail the King! But a king doth not a gentleman make. A temperamental prince in youth, you’re a thick-skinned brat with a bitter chip on your shoulder. The air of nobility only develops after a decade or more banished to a dark cellar. Your Bordeaux caretakers warned others of your tannic nature, but the image makers of California left you to your own devices. They spent decades of constant frustration trying to calm your aggressive nature. Finally heeding the advice of the Bordelaise, your New World guardians now employ the services of your perfumy cousin Cabernet Franc to teach you grace, and the sultry French consort Merlot, to teach you maturity. At last, your time has come. In a royal manner, you now rule over North America in a court known as ‘Meritage’.

Well, I found this online for Cabernet Sauvignon lovers. I do not have a chip on my shoulders and was never banished to the dark celler(well maybe once when I was a teenager).

So now I am looking for my Cabernet Franc and my Merlot friends. I'm just glad to know that my time has come.

I am new at this stuff so be gentle.

I am a bottle of Pinot Noir (pee-no-n’wahr) red. I exhibit plenty of rich berry fruit with pomegranate and attractive spice notes in a medium-bodied with expansive personality. Since I am gowned in an easy going, casual and relaxed environment in Sonoma, CA, my bottle veils a diamond in the rough that requires no introduction. The price range is about $20 but can be found on sale for as little as $14.99 in the greater San Francisco Bay area.

Great exercise IrishRose. I’m thinking Sonoma is more my style than Napa.
