Ummm, Desk ... bears repeating now, smiling... in your post you ask what your take is on Bolla ... you give I'll take .. Nummy!..lol
the bolla (valpolicella) is a good dry red great with steak, or just about any thing off the grill(my fav way to cook). around here it's hard to beat for under $10.:-)
Hello everyone!
Your question about Bolla wines really brings back memories for me, Desk.
During the summer before I entered my senior year in College, I worked in a very nice Italian restaurant at the Jersey Shore. This restaurant was very well known, had fabulous food, live music, and attracted people from all over, especially North Jersey. To make a long story short, the only wines they served by the bottle were Bolla wines!
I must have served hundreds of bottles. As I remember, the most popular were Soave Bolla, and Valpolicella. At the time I thought that Bolla wines must be among the finest wines available, and now I come to find out they are relatively inexpensive!
I wonder how much cost has to do with the quality of the wine? I can tell you I never got a complaint about the Bolla wine I served!
