A few notes on the skin gallery...

If you use a skin from the gallery, all you have to do is capture and save it. You do not need to add it to the gallery because it ends up in there as a duplication because it is being entered in there by a different member than the original. This creates additional work for Tallbob and company until they get it to function so that duplications don't happen, but for now, I don't think he has the time to be chasing down duplicate entries into the gallery.

You are not required to share your skin unless you want to. Please do not feel obligated to share, it is purely an option.

If I decide to select and use a skin from the gallery, will I have to also replace my banner, or will it stay the same ?

Same have banners, some don't. If you want to keep your present banner you will have to reload it.

Reloading your banner is relatively easy. When you use a skin from the gallery, your old skin remains available in "My Skins". Here are step by step instructions for copying a banner from one skin to another:

Go to the "My Skins" page.

Select the "Edit" link beneath your old skin.

Click on the "Banner" tab.

Highlight the text in the "Banner URL" field and select Copy (control-C on Windows computers)

Click the Cancel link at the bottom of the page to get back to "My Skins"

Select the "Edit" link beneath your new skin (the one you selected in the Gallery)

Click on the "Banner" tab.

Highlight the text in the "Banner URL" field (if any) and select Paste (control-V on Windows computers).

The banner preview should show the banner image. You might also want to adjust the "Repeat" and "Position" parameters.

Click the Save Changes button.

Done!
