Taste of St. Croix
So while I was on St. Croix, I went to the Food and Wine week. Which all the local hotels and restaraunts, participated in this "Taste of St. Croix" Each day up until this sunday in fact, they will be going to different local places, and food and wine is judged. The cost each night is about $75-150 per-person. Although costly, the proceeds go to victims of abuse. So I think it is a worthy cause. I went last Tuesday to the one event held at one of my favorite places. "Sand Castle on the Beach" The food was to die for. I had prime rib steak, with garlic mash potato, and green beans. I also tried this drink called Mango Margarita. Ladies, the drink is nice. Now for those who do not drink alcoholic beverages, the Virgin one is just as good.
Dessert was good, there was so many different types of desserts that I just settle for my favorite which is cheese cake. The wine is made in St. Croix. I had a chance to tour the wine vineyard there. Awesome.
One good thing of this food and wine experience. Is you get to see all the chefs preparing the food in front of you. I understand, I was talking to a friend of mine in St Croix, and they said last night, they had steel band music. So I missed out on that one. if you want to check it out go too stcroixfoodandwine.com
