I have had a dry cough it's a result of a new high blood pressure medicine. Does any one have this problem? I got some meds for acid reflux. It's so annoying when I break out in this cough.

Have you discussed this with the prescribing physician? Not only can I understand the annoying side of it, but a persistent dry cough could cause other problems. If it is more than an occasional outburst, you really should talk to your doctor. There are lots of BP meds out there and finding one that works for you without the cough shouldn't be a problem.

Geri is absolutely right. I had the same problem and learned that many of the BP meds have 'dry cough' as a side effect. My doctor had me try 2 others before we found one that worked best for me.

There are many alternatives out there - ask your doctor for another.
