Who still wears pantyhose?

Not me. Even when I 'dress up', it's slacks, not dresses.

I just ten minutes ago put on the first pair I've worn in six months. I remember thinking how wonderful they were all those years ago -- no more garter belts or (gasp) girdles. These days, they're the last thing I want to think about adding to my outfit. I still need to be in dresses now and then, and really don't like the look of a bare leg sticking out - even my very attractive (ahem) ones.

I rarely wear a dress, and never a skirt so have little need for panty hose. However, here in the norteast it is still too cold to get a tan on the legs. Does anyone else think white legs without stockings look naked and unfinished? My daughters told me it was out of fashion to wear stockings. Personally I can't wait to tan up and be warm enough to wear open toed shoes and sandles.

Panty hose are out. I understand there are many lotions on the market...that give a shimmer to your legs. SEXY I am sure.

I haven't worn pantyhose in over 4 years since I retired. It's jeans or slacks, no skirts or dresses but I'm attending a wedding Saturday and I'm not sure what I'll be wearing yet. I don't even have a pair of panyhose anymore.

LIKE THE REST OF YOU LADIES I WEAR MORE SLACKS THAN SKIRTS. ON THE RARE OCCASION THAT I DO STRUGGLE AND SWEAT AND GROAN (I COUNT THAT AS AEROBICS)AND FINALLY GET INTO THEM PROBABLY WHEN I ATTEND CHURCH THEY DO LOOK GOOD. I ONLY GO BARE LEGGED IN THE SUMMER TIME LIVING IN THE DESERT IS A GOOD EXCUSE AS ANY. MY LEGS ARE NATURALLY BROWN SO I DON'T HAVE TO TAN. NOW THEY HAVE THOSE FOOTLES TIGHTS OR HOSE THAT YOU CAN WEAR IF YOU DON'T WANT TO TAN OR SPRAY ON THAT STUFF. AT OUR AGE DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO, BURN YOUR BRA LET IT ALL HANG OUT, THROW AWAY YOUR GIRDLES BURN YOUR PANTIES AND PANTY HOSES WHO CARES LIVE, LAUGH AND LOVE!!!!!

I love to wear skirts and dresses but it's too damn cold in the winter so I basically live in pants, but occasionally I do wear a skirt and wear thick tights for warmth -- in the summer I do wear skirts a lot, and it's bare legs all the way, but when I need to dress up I wear pantyhose if it's not too hot out -- sometimes control top (holds in the flab real good) -- I actually like the way they feel -- I know, I'm weird........

I had not worn pantyhose in several years because I generally wear pants or long skirts/dresses w/knee highs or bare legs.
I was wearing a dress for Easter so I ran to the store to get hose. It took me forever to figure out my size and obviously I misread something. I bought stockings that would have fit perfectly if I was 5'11" (I am 5'4")...the nasty suckers kept sliding down and one time I looked down and thought I had developed rolls around my ankles, only to find it was those freaking panty hose. I quietly slipped out of the church pew, went to the ladies room and threw them into a trash can and came out bare legged and feeling great!! No one noticed my lily white legs but if they did I wouldn't have cared.....lol

I will if I absolutely have to, like dressing up for somewhere nice with a relatively short skirt. But now I buy long skirts so I can get away with knee-highs or bare legs. I'm still in the workworld (yes, I envy you who are retired!) so once in while some form of hose is necessary. If I do wear pantyhose, by 2:00 pm I am ready to go into the ladies room and tear them off - they constrict!
