I totally agree with you . What they did to those border guards was wrong. They were just doing their jobs. I can't believe that this is not a bigger issue to these candidates. They are afraid of it. I write my congressman and senator all the time . I'm almost on a first name basis. This nation should raise he-- about it.
it's sad the way our legal system works!! 2 officers doing their job & get sent to prison. and the sorry damn illegal' with dope, gets off. these officers will probally not be able to get another law enforcement job.
the nafta ordeal is a joke, it has already closed down small farms in mexico & usa,
congress has already approved 31 other south & central americas to be included in nafta, and talking about adding peru & columbia.
we voters have managed to do what no other country has done. we have managed to assemble the most dumbest people in the world in an area called washington dc

First of all think border guards are stupid.
I was raised by man in law enforcement and let me tell you a thing or two about that. Most cops are assholes. They beat their wives and children..They get away with breaking the law everyday. The only time they are held accountable is if someone has the forethought to tape them or get indisputable evidence that they give to the press.
What everyone overlooks is that the government wastes money on the drug war. That money would be better utilized with treatment programs. If drugs were legal, we would have less problems.
We have a higher percentage of our population in jail,than any other developed country.
Just another reason why americkkka sucks.
I see we have a new member that seems to have taken Rev. Wrights sermons to heart. Sorry you had a bad experience with a cop, but there are good and bad in every profession. Personally, I appreciate that we have a police force to risk their lives almost every day. So do firemen and border guards. It seems to be great fun for some people to try to find a way to "get" people who enforce the law. The two Border Guards were just enforcing the law. The force is way understaffed and the steps those guys took sounded like what I would have done in that situation. I hope they get pardoned soon. Need to write to our congressmen/women.

But, I live in the real world, I know that our prison and law enforcement industries have powerful pull in our government.

The drug dealer should have went to prison in the very beginning, the Border Guards should not be there, what am I missing here? People go to jail for protecting American citizens? And now our southern states are being inundated with drug runners and military from Mexico on their ranches, American citizens being kidnapped for ransom, not to mention mountains of trash left by the illegal entry! Huh?!
