I would like to spend a week at a beach resort in the Caribbean this July. I live and travel alone and am quite comfortable with this so I am looking for an all inclusive resort that does not cater exclusively to couples and fmilies. A travel agent suggested Excellence Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. The brochures look great, but I have read a lot of negative comments on tripadvisor that criticize the service and room accommodations. I am also concerned about the safety of this country.
