I Have To Say This....
This was the announcement from our manager after a long-time member of the group was first
censored then removed from the group....
“Fantastic Felines is a group for every one to come and have fun. Its a place to post pictures
and tell stories about your furkids.It is not a place to hold debates about what is acceptable
and what is not.Since our families can and do see our groups I intend to make sure that it
remains family and kid friendly.If any one has a problem with that they are welcome to leave this group.ALL of our members are valuable to the group. I and my Moderators reserve the right to remove any one who does not comply with the groups rules.”
Maybe we all need a refresher course in the group rules. I thought this was where we could say what we wanted to say about cats or, when appropriate, express our concern about problems
within the group. Silly me! I did not realize that along with the name change this group would
become an exclusive forum for the manager’s meager idea of what is and what is not appropriate. I sure don’t think tossing folks out of the group or dictating which comments get posted and which get censored comes under the heading of “fun;” at least it doesn’t for me. We’ve lost more than enough members from our group already (I understand many of them went over to the “Fun Cats” group) and throwing more folks out for ridiculous reasons sure doesn’t give the appearance that anybody really believes “ALL of our members are valuable to our group.” If differences of opinion within the group can’t be resolved IN the group then I guess the only forum for the disenfranchised is on the blog page. Hey, if the manager doesn’t mind us resorting to airing our dirty laundry in public who am I to argue? I’ve been a member of this group longer than our manager has been a member of Eons. I suppose this post will be deleted and I’ll be kicked out like acatslady was. And in preparation for just that eventuality, I have deleted the photos of my
cats which I had posted here. I’d rather continue to be a member of this group but if that’s not possible I’ll see y’all on the blog page!
