I've read, reread and am totally futless regarding what to do/how to do my profile in the new way... I was learning the ccs/html and feeling like i was progressing, and then all these changes, which in one hand i 'think' serves the majority. what i'm feeling is i was taking a 4 part class in school, and right when i was thinking i found my 'calling', the last 4th class was dropped. I'm stuck.
I really want to stick with being able to 'customize' my profile w/o 'just clickin a tab', yet i'm afraid to do anything right now because it appears that if i utilize the tabs for one thing, and i use the custom box for something else, i will create conflict.
what do i want to do? at this moment the font color in my 'guest book', previously known as 'comments' needs to be changed so they don't blend in with the back color. Prior to the changes that be, all was well, i haven't touched it, was waiting for the dust to settle... anyways, when i look at the 'tabs' to change color, i'm not sure what area is called what on my profile, i guess having a map with uniform identifications of the specific areas would help, i see that partially available.
I'm sorry for the long words here, i'm frustrated right now, and wanted to relax by focusing on the changes i want, and can't do it.
is there a 'map' ? I know the different fonts, heads, text, blah blah blah in html have different h2 like identifications for specific areas, ok, i'll hush...can anyone make sense of my carrying on? mboto? are you out there?
The area of "Guestbook" is a Section Title. All the Section titles will be the same color of your choosing.
The "Edit" option is a Link. All Links will be the same color of your choosing.
The font color within the Guestbook goes along with the rest of the Page Font color (of your choosing).
If your background has a lot of pattern/colors, it's a bit harder to find the right colors to use in these areas so it's readable from top to bottom of the page. You might have to get a more subdued background (I haven't looked at yours, so this is just general advice).
Ok, go to the Skinner editor & choose the Fonts tab. Change only one thing at a time, then go back to your page & see how it looks. Then you'll know what the terms like "Section Header" are. I do agree with you, Eons should publish a 'profile page map' because the only way to find out now is the hard way.
Hope this helped; if not, let me know.

Follow Sylk's advice. Also note...
We've posted some initial help on The Skinner up in the group Announcement. Check out Mimi's files for some additional help if you need it.

I looked at your profile - which is very pretty! - & left a comment in your Guestbook.
I see what you mean about the dark red font being a little hard to read against that maroon background. Do you have this coded into the CSS section? I don't know any other way you could've gotten the maroon blocks into the Guestbook. Try going to the Custom CSS tab in your Skinner editor & uncheck the box that says "use custom CSS." If that makes it go away, then you'll have to search for the code that generates it.

Everything is in her custom css and not distributed in the skinner. To make it easy, she needs to move things over to the skinner, best one item at a time. Now that the preview function is working, she doesn't need to save things before previewing.
As you transfer things over from the various tabs, be sure to disable custom css, otherwise you will not be able to see the changes.
wow, thanks you guyz! I atleast have something to start with specific to my profile... I appreciate that it was looked at, and relied to accordingly, not generically.
I'll be back...one way or another !
thank you again for ALL your replies.
