Yeah, you got good reason to be pissed! I hope they are successful!
I have to say that I've driven on roads that were so washboarded by trucks that it was hard to drive them! So, I don't know what they are doing with the road taxes!

I was raised by a trucker and also was supported by a trucker.
They have alot to deal with out on the road.
It isn't the trucker themselves, it is the company they work for, the price of diesel, and the companies out there that causes so much trouble.
The trucker lives in pieces of crap trucks most of the time, and they get paid maybe 38 cents -43 cents a mile.
You have to live it to know, they aren't getting rich, they put their lives on the line to make the deliverys that is pushed on them, to hot load.
It is just like any other job, we do it because we need to survive.
So, I am for the truckers.
If they strike, alot of places will be out of food.
Trains don't deliever it anymore.
So we need to hope they don't park their trucks.
My son is a trucker, I hope they all shut down, they need to be heard!
I too support the truckers~!

I wholeheartedly support the truckers striking. I have always found them to be the most curteous drivers on the road. We'd all starve to death without them!
I have a friend who's husband is a trucker. He works for some trucking company but has his own truck so he gets a gas 'allowance' which sounds to me like he got himself into a really dumb contract. Gas has gone up over 22 cents per gallon since he signed on and he's barely breaking even now.
Other than that, I don't know anything about the trucking industry..... but...... I don't know if I would have announced a strike to begin on April Fool's Day.
I don't know Michi, the govt. has been playing April Fools on us for years, and they didn't even wait until the appropriate day!
Well prices are going up they say because of truckers. Who is getting this extra money?
Good luck. Everyone is suffering due to the fuel costs , except the oil companies.
