Great song Roger! Iam so sorry for those who didn't live thru this time in music. We're very fortunate.
With me it was and is "Ripples" Greatful Dead..It still makes me sigh when I hear it..Mellows me right out..And the concerts were what brought me and my kids togather.Trying to explane to them how my life was before they were born was impossable (you know THE moms old storys look)Taking them to the concerts with me gave them a real look at what I was saying..
Steve Miller Band first album "Children of the Future". It was the tripiest album cover I had ever seen at the time!

I have no idea where to find video of anything from this album. Could someone more techno savy than me take a look?
Thanks ever so much
Simon and Garfunkle - "Sounds of Silence" fed my 'born too late to be a beat' ache and "59th Sreet Bridge Song(Feeling Groovy)" opened up the Hippie door. The Beatles just were, all consuming and everything, but S&G made me think.
I owned every one of their albums, now I own every one of those CDs.
OMG. The world stopped turning for me when I heard this toon...I was 6...lol
Elvis...Falling In Love With You...
No clue how to use U Tube. But the song that comes to mind is For What it's Worth by Buffalo Springfield. On a political level,it was the first one that really made me think. Another that affected me a lot when I was very young, was Last Kiss. I do believe it made me scared of driving, phobia which still remains, although I do it when I have to.
We did have a ton of good music though, I could go on for hours, Gimme Shelter from the Stones, a big one for some reason, and Imagine by John Lennon. Led Zep, Stairway to Heaven, Pink Floyd, that whole album..The Wall. Hundreds more..
I think music was still changing me in subtle ways when grunge started, with the seattle musicians, like Pearl Jam and Nirvana and Soundgarden, who all came out with pretty impressive masterpieces,
great selections.... oh yeh, the Beatles....do you believe how clean cut they were early on? I'd throw Neil Young out there too
