Hello
I'm finally getting around to reading some of the posts here. I grew up with antiques. What wasn't family pieces from as far back as the mid 1600s was from my Grandmother who had an antique shop around 1900. Antiques have always been a part of our home. My Dad passed away in 2003 and my Mom in 2006 and all the things which we had grown up with (a 3900 sq .ft. house full) was split between 5 of us. Each and everyone of us have the same respect for the pieces that my mother and dad had and their parents before them. What a great feeling to look at a piece you love and know that someone else felt the same way about it 100 or more years ago. There will only be one thing that will have to be sold and that is a stamp collection. There are stamps in it for countries that no longer exist and some I've never even heard of. I've contacted a few places who will give me an appraisal but have no idea how to go about finding someone to buy the collection. Does anyone have any ideas?
