I thought it was correct; but I also thought he should not be the only person targeted for what others in his circle said

I respect him for addressing the issue head on. He knew that sooner or later he would have to and it turned out to be necessary here and now. In fact, he addressed more than one issue and it was a good time to do so. He certainly had the attention of a good percentage of the population. I wish everyone could have heard the entire speech instead of just what the media chooses to highlight.

People around the world have noted the honesty and courageous nature of the speech.

I would say correct, yet people respond to things quite different.

Right or wrong, people will judge you by the company you keep. In my opinion - unless he comes out and totaly distances himself from the paster and publicaly -

loudly and often - speaks out against the paster and his ideas he Obama will go down with him.
