Not just a good one ... the best one:
view link Ultra Edit
It's no longer free, but I believe it still has a 30-day free trial.

I haven't used it much except to take a quick look at it, but a lot of people like KompoZer and the nice thing about it is that it's free.
Thanks for all your help! Will check them out. I think it is time I found a new HTML program and just couldn't decide on which one.
appreciate your advice,

Wow, Time4Fun4Me! Ultra Edit is some an editor. It even does PHP, Java and Perl. Thanks for the tip.

Arachnaphobia if its still around was a good one. You could find it for free over at Two Cows.com Quantas is the best. But you need a POSIX compliant system to run it. As it is completely integrated into the internet.
HI
For years, I've been quite happy with one called Coffee Cup - just google for it. You get a free trial, and the full license is only $49. They often offer others of their programs free to customers, send out a pretty cool email newsletter and write good software. The editor has code view and WYSIWYG views - switch between them easily. They have built in FTP capability, lots of little scripts and widgets. You can do a pretty cool site with this program and nothing else. Good luck.

You might consider HTMLKit available at: view link It is shareware but not enforced. You can use a copy without paying for it but if you want the special add-ons you have to be a paid user. This program has a preview button and many builtin features but does not have a WYSIWYG feature.
Another package I recommended to a friend is Web Page Maker available at view link It is still only $49 and is great for people not comfortable with HTML in that it has a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) interface.
