Electric shopping carts

You know the ones the people get on that say they are handy-capped . Shouldn't there be some sort of test those people have to take ? And do they have exclusive right away to run over anyone ? Man ; woman or child ? Is everyone fair game for them in thier quest for food ? Not all but I see serveral that get on them and think they are some sort of shopping god . They toot the horn and its get out of my way or die today mentallity . I thought they would have to follow the same rules as everyone else . But I guess if they can ram you and shove you out of the way it's fair game . And if they do toot and you dont move some of them get pretty pissy . I figure they can relax ; they have a seat . I never got to see them go thru the check out . I wonder if they just shove right to the head of the line ? Seems they ought to have some sort of store police to take away the privilages of them .

I agree.I also noticed, almost all, seem to have one thing in common: a big fat ass.

I think this happens because they are not used to them..or have a chip on their shoulder..most are very heavy because they cannot get up to exercise.
I have gotten nasty looks because I don't move over.

They need to not have any special privileges and be rude.

For a variety of reasons I don't usually respond to your posts. Not that I don't feel compelled, but to this one I feel I can relate. Not long ago I encountered a person on one of these carts. She got on the cart at the front of the store. Instead of crossing the rest of the front isle and entering the shopping area at the usual entry point, she decided to turn down one of the check out isles and enter the shopping area that way. The isle was already full of shoppers and their carts attempting to check out. No matter. She plowed straight ahead and made everyone get out of her way. Then, at the end she decided she needed to turn around and go back the other way. So I'm moving my cart again, while I'm trying to check out and get the hell out of there. At that point I couldn't resist saying something. I was nice about but I asked the woman why she didn't just go the right way in the first place when she would have had much more room to maneuver and she could have turned around a lot more easier? Boy, did I get the looks from the rest of the shoppers. How dare I confront someone with a handicap! Go figure.

I could be wrong ; but just cause someone has a handycap or disablity doesnt give them the right to be rude . I think the people should have applauded you for saying something to that person . I guess they feel they are owed ; well sorry but not by me .
