Older Woman + Younger Man???

We know that most men want to date a younger woman so I was wondering, how many women would consider dating someone younger? .... how much younger.
How many women have actually dated a younger man? Did it work out?
Men, would you consider dating someone older? Just wondering and trying to sort out this dating thing!

I have dated younger men...not a problem. It just depends on what your expectations are. I am a very independant woman and dated only for the fun & companionship not looking for a lifetime partnership.

I say, if you have a chance..give it a try! You might like it.:)

Minds rarely see years, it is the people around us that we worry about, thier judgement. Also we worry about having our hearts STOMPED ON.
I have ALWAYS liked older guys, when I was 17 to 35. I think it had something to do with ME being more MATURE! Then the younger ones were where my attention was pulled, but THEN when I was 35 the younger ones were not very mature, they were in thier 20's!!! Now @ 51 the guys who are 35 to 45 are interested in me. They are interesting to me, but...I don't want to have my HEART STOMPED ON!!!
Just be careful. Protect your heart and do not take it seriously until he has earned your trust.
Good luck! Have fun, you have to LIVE LIVE LIVE until you DIE!
God Bless, Deana

First, I am not at all sure your starting premise that men want to date younger women is valid -- Perhaps a few years, yes. Many men I am sure feel uncomfortable with someone much younger. ---- In specific answer to your question, the BIGGEST hassle women in this age group have on dating sites is getting hit on by younger guys --- There is a mystique about older women that is alluring!!

My 2nd hubby and last one (who died) were younger. All that hit on me are younger ones. Number 2 was immature, selfish, didn't last but 2 yrs. #3 lasted till he died . He was the most mature man I had ever met and he was younger. I am 5ft 10 inches tall and I can not knock the short or younger men off LOL Ladies give both a try, they try harder and really work at a relationship. I hate shallow women who say " I would never date a shorter man" or a man who says " I'd never date a fat woman". That is just a reflection of your own insurcurity. You are too worried about what others will think of you. Go have fun and see what happens. Bobbie

My late husband was 11 years older. I am now seeing someone who is 10 years younger. He finds older women a lot more mature.

It's not the age difference that matters so much. It's the type of person he/she is, and are you compatible, do you similar values, are you respectful to one another? Do you both want the same thing from a relationship? These things are far more important than the number that represents the number of years you have existed on this planet.

Although I have NOT dated a younger man - my husband just passed away three months ago. I have found this odd phenomenon (at least to me),that I am being hit on by guys as young as their mid-30's. (I turn 57 tomorrow!) Having kids 30 and 31 I am taken back. Some are quite insistant.

I would consider a man late 40's and early 50's, but dating someone in my children's age bracket somehow does not feel comfortable nor do I wish to "train" a youngster. I am very active and think myself pretty up to date with things but cannot imagine having a whole lot in common with a 30 something male other than sex. :}
