You sound like you are contimplating getting a job or part-time...and yes I would miss my pc..have a good weekend..
I'm at home and have the PC and the lap top on at times depending upon where I am in the house. Yes, I miss the computer and my on-line friends when I am away. I learned to use the computer as we had them in our classrooms. Then we became a lap top school. The fourth - sixth graders all had their own, so we were given all sorts of training which, of course, is now out of date.
Who is at work when on eons? I can't get onto Eons at work. Our network blocks it.
Who is in their home office? No home office here; my computer is in my bedroom.
In what room is your computer? I just answered that one.
Are you using a desktop PC, a laptop, a MAC ? I'm using a PC but my next computer purchase will definitely be a MAC
How old is your computer? It's about a year old which makes it a dinosaur in computer years
How did we ever manage without computers? I can't imagine my life without one now. If my internet service goes down I lose my mind!
When did you first see, learn to use and use one proficiently? I bought my boys a computer called "Adam" when they were both small and they're 30 and 35 now. It didn't connect to the internet and all it was really good for was some minor word processing and playing games. It had one of those daisy wheel printers. Remember those? The first serious computer I came into contact with was at the company where I still work. We had dumb terminals all over the place which were connected to a mainframe the size of a small warehouse someplace in the same building. But one day they brought in a PC and put it right in the middle of our department. There was one girl who used it to run reports for about an hour a day and otherwise it was untouched. I asked my boss if she minded if I spent some time "playing" with it either before or after work. She gave permission so I went out and bought a book...I think it was Windows 3.1?...and started playing around with it the next day. Within six months we had PC's on everyone's desk and all those people who were afraid to touch the first one were jealous that I knew at least a thing or two about them.
