My life to the Fullest

I have always tried to live my life to the fullest. Now it is just more challenging!! I have Fibromyalgia and osteroarthritis so this slows me down but sure does not stop me. I raised 4 sons mostly by myself. My husband was a working traveling man so was away from home all week for 30 years of our life. We are enjoying 44 years of marriage this month(March) 20th. I made my list about 15 years ago and have accomplished most of it but I am also adding more as I see things I would like to do. Such as go Gold prospecting in Alaska. We have been diamond hunting in Arkansas and gem mining in North carolina. I loved white water rafting.I have free falling from a plane on my list but it is going to have to wait a while.Sense being diagnosed with fibro and OA I have gained some weight and I really want to land on my feet very graceful instead of like a tumble bug so some weight has to go.I have now joined Curves . 3 weeks into it.(and boy is it challenging) and I have started the South Beach diet. I've done the Atkins and lost weight but it is too restrictive for me. . So wish me luck. I hope to be jumping from a plane before I am 70. I have 9 beautiful grandchildren who I have so much fun with. They have been gem hunting with me. Our most favorite thing to do is a Tea Party. They recieve a written invitation and arrive on that day. They each go get dressed up(I have boxes of "dress-up" clothes)I am dressed to the "nines" The tables are set for "Tea and biscuits" The girls are escorted in and seated by the boys and tea is served. We have a long delicious 'Tea" I am always surprised at how the conversation goes. They are all very "prim and proper" WE have a wonderful time and they cannot wait until the next "Tea". I collect tea sets so this gives me a chance to use my favorites.I go to bed each night planning what I am going to do the next day.My husband has rebuilt a Scotty camper and we have done some camping the last 3 years and plan to do a lot more. It is hard to leave the grandchildren for very long.I had so much fun raising my boys. Now I am having as much fun with my grandkids. I have a "million" books to read but so far have not slowed down enough to get started on that. I also have 4 quilt tops made and ready to put together and I have started a personal diary for each of my sons, starting from the day I knew I was pregnant with them until they left home. This has been an interesting adventure. I find myself crying a lot when writing. But my life is full and very interesting.I never seem to have enough hours in the day,and I certainly want to live to be 100 at least.

Good Luck getting to 100. I had one great great grandmother who was 110 and one who was 100 and one 99. I would love to live as long as any of them but not if I can't hear see or talk.....I would rather rest in Jesus until He comes to change this body. nanafox

Sounds like you have a full life and a wonderful outlook. Good luck with the health situation. I loved white water rafting also, but free falling from an airplane will probably never make my list. :) Let us know when you go.
